Known for its blend of modernism, functionalism, and Art Nouveau, Helsinki is a reference city in architecture, combining classic and contemporary styles, including neoclassical buildings by Carl Ludvig Engel and the modernist works of Alvar Aalto.

On this tour, we’ll explore the neoclassical Senate Square, including Helsinki Cathedral and the National Library, then move on to more modern gems of Alvar Aalto. We’ll also visit the modern Kamppi Chapel of Silence and see the architectural solutions of the Amos Rex and Kiasma museums. Other highlights include Oodi Library, a mix of traditional and contemporary design, and Finlandia Hall, Aalto’s masterpiece.

We’ll end the tour at Temppeliaukio Rock Church, carved into solid rock.
